In the week commencing 11 August 16,000 of our Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) deferred members will be issued with their annual benefit statements.
The statements relate only to the service for the employer shown in the "Your personal details" section and show benefits at 65. The benefits will be available without reduction earlier than 65 for those members who are able to use the "Rule of 85".
The new 2008 statements have been redrafted to provide greater focus and clarity; are Plain English Crystal Marked; and have been completely visually redesigned.
They also offer the opportunity for members to provide us with feedback, by clicking on an “Opinion Poll” that is accessed by visiting our website’s homepage.
If you are a deferred member and haven’t received your statement by Friday 22 August, please use our online contact form (available by clicking on the second left button at the top right of each page on this website). It could be that we do not hold an address for you, or we have an incorrect one for you.
We are planning to issue our active members with their annual benefit statements and a leaflet about the new LGPS by early December.
