If you join one of the organisations which is part of the scheme, you should automatically be put forward for the scheme if you’re entitled. If you’ve not heard anything about your pension, talk to your employer as soon as possible.
If you currently work for an organisation which is part of the scheme but have opted out, you can re-join. You should inform your employer as soon as possible.
A list of the employers who belong to the scheme can be found on the employer list page of this site.
Opting out
You’ll be automatically put forward for the pension scheme when you join an eligible employer. If you’d rather not join, you will need to inform them as soon as possible. You should be sent a form with your offer of appointment so you can opt out when you formally accept your job.
You should think carefully before opting out of the pension scheme. You should contact an independent financial advisor if you are at all unsure.
